Knowledge Translation is the process of taking the results of a research project and presenting the findings back to the community.
This may take many forms- community “speaks”, peer-reviewed academic journals, or conference presentations to name a few.
The ultimate goal is to share the information learned and hopefully change policy and programming to reflect the new information.
The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) has several funding opportunities to assist with the process of sharing CBR project activities with the community. The “Meetings, Planning, and Dissemination” (MPD) grant lines are offered several times per year to provide the financial resources to conduct and/or plan these activities. See the link to CIHR MPD grant lines.
